Any chance it was a 757? One left Toronto at about 3 pm yesterday carrying the Raptors to Atlanta. (I assume that's what it would have been doing anyway. Same flight number - DL8944 - is scheduled to return to Toronto at 11 pm tonight.)

It all goes back to feeding the hub. The more passengers Delta can get transiting through SEA, the better off they will be. From the damage I'd guess front of truck hit nose, spin hit prop and back of truck spun into tail. The front of the truck is facing away from the plane with damage to the cab area. Plane probably yawed right from first impact and made hte second impact. My guess anyways... Also can't quite read the...

Porter joining Aeroplan is useless for Western Canada. The talk about getting OneWorld carriers onboard is similarly useless for those not in major markets (e.g., YYJ where I am).

Going to apply for an RBC WestJet card and collect one last Aeroplan reward before dumping that credit card.

Apparently the stop in Athens was not a result of duty time but was instead Shabbat-related. The stop in Gander meant they couldn't make it all the way to Israel before the start of Shabbat.

Guessing it is golf-related. PGA Tour was at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens this past weekend and next weekend is the World Golf Championship event in Mexico City. Lots of people (players, caddies, families, officials, media) to be moved between those two locations over the next couple of days.
