Re: Delta refuses to upgrade US curling team gold winners

If you look at the tweet, the emoji appears to be a laugh. It is very likely they were just joking around. Leave it to people to get over excited.

I will say, they could have added but maybe we can give you a treat on board and give them an upgraded meal or something.

I disagree about any cities that would use ATL to connect to Europe as there are already many one stop connections over that hub that one can make and makes a Nonstop to Europe kind of pointless. Besides the fact if DL wasn't confident in the flight and something would have happened to the aircraft during take off, it would be a larger PR blunder than UA's dragged off the flight mess. No it wasn't stupid. I'm sure the 100+ passengers were very thankful they did this. Also, who says a 739 is ...

It seems that the Dr.'s past doesn't matter much in the public view (I'm not saying it should matter in this case) because FB comments seem to feel the Dr.'s past was brought out by UA as cover.

Of course, now there is smearing going on and there are reports that this doctor has had issues in past and has had his license revoked. Doesn't change what happened though. I think another issue with UA's statement is that they are going to work with authorities first, then conduct their own review.

Air Canada offers connecting flights to Toronto for international service! Beats flying into O'Hare and dealing with long security lines with US pre-clearance! Yes, done that, is convenient.
