Re: United's EWR-Heathrow Routes

Frequency has value that United can capture.
Most of the gen pop has no idea of the type of aircraft they are flying.
United has better uses for the 77Ws that they operate.
If the route is profitable as you say, why would United reduce the margin by flying larger aircraft?

Re: Report - Air NZ picks Boeing for wide-body order

In the article, they stated they would like to fly their newly ordered aircraft on the hypothetical AKL-NYC flight. Meaning, they want to place the Boeing 78J on the route, but it needs quite a bit of a range boost. The article doesn't say that at all. It did, but was edited out hours later and rep...

Re: Report - Air NZ picks Boeing for wide-body order

I never expected to see the words ''long range'' and ''787-10'' in the same sentence :P Jokes aside, it'll be interesting to see how much they extend its range by. It should also help compete with the A350-900 more and could potentially attract more customers. But the question is what will they use...

You should read the link. The lawsuit is about outright theft of proprietary intellectual property/trade secrets and zero to do about "hiring practices" . Totally disagree with that. If AiroTec or Mitsubishi had not hired any of those people there could not be the current lawsuit. Intelle...

Besides fact that fewer than 20 of 150+ widebody jets feature the actual new Polaris seat and only one Polaris lounge(ORD) has opened to date, many of the soft service elements have been eliminated or reduced. They're discriminating based on where you are, not based on your nationality. You could be any nationality using a credit card with a UK address.

If you want some adverse discrimination, try being a non-white person or woman in the United States.
