Rwy 09R use for landings during the day is not just limited to A380s. Basically everyone going to Terminal 4 can regularly be seen landing on the southern runway if it somehow fits into the flow. No big deal for the many AF and KLM narrowbodies, but missing out on a few tasty widebodies from elsewhe...

Not too long ago Qatar Airways took over four A350-900s from LATAM to cover their current expansion/operation. Could they become surplus to requirements with a number of aircraft coming off the now closed routes should this become a permanent situation? I take it there are mainly single-aisle planes...

A few flights from MAD are also going to Cardiff, which is able to handle the A340-600 too. Among the six Iberia flights to CWL, there are three A340-600s and three A321 spread over Friday and Saturday.

They'd need a special permit from the airport authority in Biarritz too, with BIQ being only very minimally staffed over night. Vitoria seems to be the logical choice then, with at least some cargo flights requiring the airport to be operating at full steam. All the Basque teams (and their visitors)...
