Are there any recent instances where commercial flights have landed on the reef runway at HNL? I know it's used for departures (took off on a JL 767 to NRT a few years ago), but don't recall any landings.

I must say, I really like the look of the A321 with the new engine option. The new engines certainly make it look more proportional! However, it's the reverse for the A320neo where the engine looks a tad too big IMO. To each their own I guess.

Just like anything with a gloss ( shine ) coat, car, fridge, plastic bumpers, & carbon planes, it needs a primer at some point, so sooner the better. Primer is also used for paint to stick similar to how you would prime your walls before painting it in the color of your choice. Thank you, dear ...

How come they were not able to make west-bound YYZ-MNL nonstop last time they tried it, but they can now? Is it only due to blocking of seats?? As I've said above, they didn't have Russian overflight rights so they couldn't go polar. They wouldn't make it westbound due to strong headwinds in Winter...

When they initially launched YYZ, it was non-stop eastbound while it was via YVR westbound. IIRC, they weren't overflying Russia back then due to "skytoll" negotiations so no polar for them. So the LHR route took a more southerly route. 33" inch pitch in the back is better than averag...

Well, what do you expect?! 20 years seem to be the average life expectancy for an airliner. Some might operate for longer, some might for less. Nothing surprising.

You can expect the same with these new "plastic" jets 20 years from now. :D

I asked about this last time flying ANA out of JFK. Their answer was simply that the terminal wasn't set up for it or they'd do it. It's not the airline. But the cabin once again, just looks too sterile for me. Not really digging the pattern in Economy and Business. It's just white and blue.

The seats look like the ones on the manufacturer's website and applied blue cushions. No customization whatsoever.

You need to keep in mind the cost to change from a 320 fleet to max has significant up front capital and training costs. Agreed. Especially with this "Time to Win" now strategy, keeping costs down is a priority! Hopefully, keeping costs down doesn't affect passenger comfort with the seats...
