Why is it shocking?

Besides the fact that pitch has reduced to the point that many peoples legs are already touching the seat in front without them reclining, there is also a maintenance cost involved.

They used DC9-14s as a trial, that didn’t work out obviously and the baby 9s started getting disposed of soon after, half the fleet left in 1970.

Are we talking speeding tickets or other minor moving violations here? Where I live, minor offences like doing a few kms over the speed limit etc. are simple moving violations and having nothing to do with the Criminal Code of Canada - more serious violations such as DUI or driving without due care...

When relieving posts, you have to clear your weapons. You take the 9mm rounds out of each magazine, rack the slide 3x to the rear and lock the slide. You then count each round before reloading the magazines. You do the same for the M-4/M-16 and Shot gun. Any missing rounds or rounds that eject down...

I’m still surprised Buffalo hasn’t converted a few of their DC3s to PT6s, or finding some used Cv580s with the same engines as the LOEs. The only other option would be going more modern with cargo ATRs or Dash 8s to replace the C46s and DC3s once AVGAS is gone.
