Re: What in Your Opinion has been the Ugliest Commercial Jet?

A380, by some margin. It just looks stubby and ungainly. If it had another 10m of length added to the fuselage it might be slightly better proportioned, but it still wouldn't account for that ugly front end.

Re: Cathay Pacific & British Airways SYD-HKG-LHR - plus a few colonial era memories and photos

Thank you for posting this trip report. I grew up in Hong Kong in the 1980s, and this brings back a lot of memories for me - particularly the CX arrival video. I remember those tiled floors, the yellow signs and the bright orange check-in desks at Kai Tak, as well as the scenes from Hong Kong back t...

you are old enough to remember these aircraft in service, but never got to fly on one, without considering things like money. This is a very difficult question, because I honestly don't know where to start. I usually fly less than twice a year on average. My list below is far from comprehensive, as...

Hi Jeff, firstly, welcome to airliners.net. As to the suggestions so far, I'd like to add as follows: 1. Timestamps - I prefer the old format where the actual time and date of the post was shown, rather than just "2 weeks ago" etc. Does two weeks ago mean two weeks ago to the day, or two w...

I seem to be among the minority here that prefers the old blue livery, which looked fantastic and instantly stood out as being AC. It's also quite adept at camouflaging in its native environment

Re: F1 2016: Abu Dhabi Finale. The Duel In The Desert.

Agree or disagree, Mercedes has stated multiple times their objective is to collect as many 1-2 race finishes as possible. Their intervention today was not to favor one driver over the other, but to protect the 1-2 finish against a very real Ferrari threat. Agree with this. Every team should aim to...

Re: First Boeing 787-10 enters final assembly

I don't really view the -10 as a 77W replacement. It's shorter, narrower, and less capable. Maybe a 772 replacement, with a little capacity increase? Which might just explain why UA ordered so many, considering they have the largest 772 fleet in the world? He said 773 replacement, not a 77W replace...

The way I looked at the first corner incident, if there's anyone to blame at all, it's Vettel, not Verstappen. Vettel collided with Raikkonen who was then pushed into Verstappen.
