I did JFK-KBP and KBP-JFK on the UIA 767 in 2-4-2 config and it was a total nightmare! NEVER fly UIA. I am tall / skinny ( 6 feet and 135 pounds), yet barely fit in the seat width wise. My knees couldn't fit behind the seat so had to sit sideways the entire flight. Ouch!!!

My vote is for Aegean. I flew on them and absolutely loved it! I was able to experience both their turboprops and Airbus aircraft. My flight was from Kos (KGS) to Athens (ATH) to St Petersburg (LED), then back again from LED-ATH-KGS. Amazing experience. Would fly them anytime.

I don't understand what was so "bad" about your trip? It sounds like a very good flight with the exception of a moody FA. There is nothing you mentioned that would deem this "bad"... Maybe you just need more realistic expectations and not your millennial emotions. lol.

Great trip report! I was able to experience Baku Airport this past January and it blew me away! I couldn't believe how nice and modern it was. Wow! I brag about it to everyone that i meet. I should be flying through here again next month on my trip back to Kazan, Russia.

Honestly, you couldn't pay me enough to fly NK under any circumstances (sorry, too loyal to WN, especially since WN flies to most of the same destinations as NK). Spirit has a decent operation. Young new aircraft. Cheap prices. Happy young crew that enjoys flying.... I chose Spirit without question.

My new carrier of choice on my annual trips to Russia is Azerbaijan Airlines... Amazing aircraft. Great crew. Incredible food. Good entertainment. Yes, it's backtracking a bit going to Baku, but for the prices they charge, it's 100% worth it.
