Only those who stick their heads in the sand, go and look at some CAA stats. If you doubt what I'm saying, then why did they upgrade from a 757 to a 767-300 only the year before? Range isn't the Problem, the A350 can do everything an 77E can do with ease. The 77L .... not out of JNB and not with cargo on top of passengers. Does anyone know why the current sole ATR42 has been so unreliable? Nearly every LCY-IOM flight it has operated recently has been substantially delayed - I get that both airports are prone to bad weather but on the Saabs it was never this bad? Interesting article, and it at least shows that they're considering MAN for possible expansion. UA are incredibly slow to upgrade or add anything to the MAN market I'd given up thinking that they ever would. Strange really considering how well their EWR service does out of MAN.

Couple of answers 1. Air Arabia Maroc has closed the base so no flights to BHX/LGW either 2.
