N375HA is still in SEA. Both SEA flights (29 to OGG and 21 to HNL) were operated by the aircraft that flew up from OGG and HNL yesterday. Maybe one of those two was supposed to go in for the same refit but was turned around and used to cover for N375HA?

If the passenger has liability insurance or better yet, an umbrella policy, it's likely the insurance company will end up paying. So it won't really affect the passenger aside from increased insurance premiums.

I hope HA is able to recoup its costs, as well as other airlines in a similar situation.

Why were the stairs brought to the front of the aircraft if the offender is in the rear? In pictures of the aircraft, there were stairs at the front and back. Is it standard protocol to open the front door first? Why not lead the prisoner out the back instead of walking down the aisle?

None of the A330s or B767s have been anywhere but the normal destinations served by HA with the exception of ship N384HA which flew from SJC to PAE on the 19th and appears to have been there ever since.
