I would say these routes show crisis on Ryanair part. They have nowhere to fly and not enough markets to tap. They will never be able to fill planes in many of these routes and anybody savy in the market knows it. Routes like RIX-KRK would have been impossible to fill even in Summer 2019 with 5 euro...

Wizz Air seat maps do not represent booked capacity, they restrict seats they sell to combat sitting together with only some of the seats paid.

They just loaded back for sale about 50 routes to fly in July, some of them at pre-covid high frequencies, like daily OSL-PLQ (which was 2-3 weekly last year).

I am not sure about applicable law in those countries but shouldn't that be investigated legally? If company exists only to provide services to one client, is owned and managed by that client - that certainly looks like just a fraud scheme to skimp on debts? And parent company should be made liable?

Isn't Lufhansa insolvent right now? They suspended refunds because they do not have money to return. If they do not have the money then don't directors have a duty to apply to bankruptcy court? Or why don't some passengers as creditors initiate bankruptcy proceedings at some local court?

But only Lufhansa group canceled everything. Easyjet, Ryanair and others successfully operate most of their flights. Looks like Lufthansa made decision to make no effort whatsoever to try to operate at least some of their flights.

All these new flights to be operated by outbase rotations (like Timisoara-Bergamo-Tirana-Bergamo-Timisoara) with no new planes deployed. So there will be a lot of schedule reshuffling, frequencies decreased elsewhere and maybe even some canceled routes to make these flights happen.

I think Eurowings is not viable long term. It loses loads of money dragging down whole Lufhansa group. And it cannot compete with Ryanair or other LCC. Also the difference is that staff has a lot less options now. I don't think there is an airline that is hiring 737 pilots in Europe at the moment. With Norwegian downsizing there should be pilot surplus now.

Will they now cancel their Budapest-Glasgow route? Glasgow-Katowice ends in September and Glasgow-Budapest is the last and only route left from Glasgow.

I thought that with Max situation now they should be able to resell new Airbuses or their delivery slots with profit or come up with some wet or dry lease agreement that makes them money. Why would they just give up delivery slots when there is 5 year wait for new orders?

Because their new policy is confusing. What happens if I arrive at airport tomorrow with a small backpack that is to fragile to go to hold but fits under seat and was always fine to travel? Do I have to pay for priority boarding on the spot (25 eur) to bring it on board? No. OP's post is confusing....

And the chart is wrong. SAS or even Lufthansa are as much LCC as Latvian airBaltic nowadays. So it shows more which countries carriers are classified as LCC and which are not.

Their all Q400 flights see quite freequent subsitutes to larger aircraft when demand warrants it. Sometimes it is other way and you get smaller plane but that's a lot less freequent. Upgradind to all jets fleet will allow them to downgrade more easily.
