Re: United Fleet Upgrade Status - 2018

What is United doing with all the Global First seats after they are removed? Do they get a shot a an afterlife or just a landfill? pretty sure the seats are going to the landfill. those seats are out of date and old, no one is going to want them anyway! SFO cut IAG a deal to consolidate their services at SFO? IIRC, BA are also ceasing OAK. Going seasonal, supposedly. Although who knows if it really comes back in 2019. BA flies to OAK??? weird how they fly to OAK and SFO. I'd imagine SFO is better in terms of passengers and one world connections.

They need to fix their Gate and Terminal layout before they add another runway. By the way, what was wrong with the 767-200ERs from Continental that they retited them so early? Afaik they were as new as the 767-400s, built in the early 2000s, a decade younger than many of the UA 767-300ERs. I know they are heavy, weight per seat is much higher than the 763ER. I think it is related to cost. 3-3-3 is identical sets of seats (easier to reconfigure or replace) 2-4-3 also needs 1 more entertainment box I think I would personally also prefer 2-4-3 I would also bet that the reason is cost.
