CLT - MUC is mainly there for BMW execs in Germany going to and from BMW's South Carolina plant. It's German point of sale customers in business class. I don't see any airlines clamoring to serve an airport with a 6,000x100 ft. runway, no matter the population in the catchment area. That's a very dodgy runway size for any airliner in service in the US. It's quite acceptable for regional jets. For instance, the main runway at DCA is only 7,169 ft.,...

i think using statue of liberty was tied to newark airport's name having liberty in it. for this whole "this is an O and D flight only" remember that there are dozens of secondary east coast destinations that now have one stop flight to SIN so there could be connecting traffic.

well maybe based on volume but MEX is more high yielding plus I imagine more connecting to overseas flights also high yielding.
