KLM will no longer fly thru Iranian airspace and parts of Israeli airspace. This deu to the ongoing threats between both countries. Flight to TLV will continue, with a stop outbound at Larnaca for crew change. Flight is nonstop from TLV to AMS.

Due to the unrest in the Azerbaijan region KLM had canceled flights to the far east tonight. More unrest in the world the region there becomes more and more volatile. I suppose the want asses the situation first before resuming flights over the region.

MH and KLM had a long partnership even before covid and codeshare on their daily flights to KUL. KLM used MH a lot for their Australasia traffic. MH17 and covid but also MH management let to the downfall of MH, they where losing money left right and center I believe.

KLM will reduce its presence in the middle east as of the winter schedule. Kuwait and Bahrain will be terminated this winter schedule. Do you know if KLM ups the DMM (Dammam, Saudi) schedule to daily? KLM used to have BAH and DMM on a every other day rotation from each other. I got no news on that.

Looks like AMS is getting clobbered by a summer storm system moving over this morning. En masse cancellations mostly to short-haul. We are indeed, over 300 flights canceled and that can go up. No train services aswell and just recieved a message not to go outside unless absolutely necessary. KL606 ...

Just arrived from Amsterdam on KLM at T5, what a dump that is. Took me 3 hours from disembarking to immigration in multiple lines, absolute discrase. I'm used to an hour or so but this was unbelievable.

I see the 777-9 as a real contender for KLM. The single pilot pool plays a definite part of their philosophy but it will give them optimum flexibility in the fleet. On days that certain routes do not require the 777-9 you can easily substitute that for a 787 without compley messing up crew schedules...
