Re: Apollo 13 (the movie) thread

Having seen Apollo 13, clearly the movie is just that, a movie.

However, IMO it does a good job of capturing the essential points.

It is a bit dramatized at times, but overall it is a great movie.

Have you discussed the risks with your Surgeon?.

You also did not reveal your family circumstances, so I assume you are also single.

My take on this would be short term pain, long term gain.

If this will restore you to full fitness then a moderate level of risk is worth taking.

What did the Right do then or now?.

If they do not want gun control perhaps they need to propose alternatives and be prepared to fund them.

Without a hard border between the Irish Republic and the North, how do we control our borders.

Fly from Athens/Rome/Paris etc to DUB.

Next get the train to Belfast and you are in the UK.

Re: Ryanair CEO warns Brexit may force UK shareholders to sell

As far as I understand, the existing EU rules say 50% of the shareholders must be EU citizens.

Nothing will actually change, the rule will be the same post Brexit.

However, UK citizens will no longer BE EU citizens.

Surely that is the whole point of Brexit?.

Actually this is not the full incident.

The passenger is accused of shouting at the baby. We do not see this happen.

Also the other DL incident, the abuse was only the culmination of a complete failure to do their job.

How would you reduce the number of fatalities.

What do you expect him to do.

Incidentally, I understand that it then transpired that DL had it.

Putting the cussing to one side. You send the customer to HA, he comes back saying they batted him back to you. So your response is to simply repeat that HA need to deal with this. Job done. There were two Agents, and any other passengers were keeping silent. It seems likely that no one else was pre...

Best option is SLBM as there is no reason for first strike.

Tactical weapons worry me most as they can be viewed as an extension of conventional warfare. Keeping track of theirs and control of our dispersed weapons are also an issue,

Use of hotlines are also key.

IMO, the US has too many checks and balances and goes to the other extreme.

In the UK, the scope for the Monarch to intervene has existed for centuries, and has never had to be used.

The US has just had it’s second shutdown in how long.

Too much democracy will lead to grid lock.
