Breeze makes a profit in March: https://onemileatatime.com/news/breeze-airways-profitable/ The airline will also be establishing a base at RSW according to Ishrion. I flew out from BDL on JetBlue yesterday morning….while waiting for my flight I snuck over to the other side of the concourse to grab ...

Jump to postWhile the terminal does look crowded, it still has a cool local vibe to it as well as a bit of class harkening back to when people dressed up to fly. Hopefully the new terminal will have “local flavor” rather than just a cookie cutter look to it. Nice report and video.

ATL, VPS confirmed. They are bookable on their site. One wonders if DL will choose to respond with a CRJ to HVN. That is, if the infrastructure can support it. Could DL be bothered operating expensive to operate CRJs to HVN to compete with Avelo tariff to ATL and other XP cities? Do"t think so...
Jump to postDL in HVN is not happening. There's no space in the terminal or ramp. Avelo will have 5-6 planes on the ramp on most days with departures between 630-9 and early morning turns. There's going to be 2-630 and 2-730 departures btw. I think DL in HVN pairs perfectly with Avelo and would love for it to ...
Jump to postNew Haven (HVN). There is absolutely no way any more passengers can be stuffed through there on any given day. The green light to finally build a new terminal has been given. There are some gaps in the late AM and mid-late afternoon Avelo flights. DL with E-175's could do 2 daily HVN-ATL flights.76...

It will be interesting to see fi it has any effect on Avelo's HVN-ILM.
Years ago on an EA flight from ATL to BDL, we had boarded the aircraft for a late evening departure, the final leg for our trip home. The FA’s did their emergency procedure demonstration and all seemed well. However, we then just sat at the gate with the door open. No explanation. About 20 minutes l...

Jump to postAer Lingus EWR-BDL. It seems a bit random when you consider the fact that EI already flies to nearby NE huns such as BOS, JFK, and EWR. There's also Condor's FRA-YXY route. Apparently, the reason there's a link between a city as important as Frankfurt and a town of 30,000 in the Yukon is due to out...

Jump to postPVD-DUB could work pretty well for them. Does EI still fly to BDL? They do. From what I heard, the flight performed adequately prior to being suspended during the pandemic. I have no idea how it's doing now. I wonder if BDL can support two carriers to DUB. The Aer Lingus flight was supposed to end ...

A few more to add… *IFE is not the end-all on a plane. Sure, getting to channel surf and play solitaire on a little seat back screen in a JetBlue flight is fun, but so was watching “Scruffy” on a big screen on the bulkhead at the front of the cabin of the Eastern L-1011, while listening to the sound...
Jump to post*JFK is horribly over served. Lots of prestige routes. Airlines don’t “have to” serve New York. We also see E-170/190, CRJ-700/900 and a few E-145’s. With Breeze having a base here, we see quite a few A220-300’s. On the cargo side we see 757/767/A300/MD11 …...

Jump to postAs long as it’s clean, safe, and offers basic comfort, I’m fine with whatever aircraft is assigned to my flight. I do cringe at the sight of a CRJ-200 or an ERJ-145 though. I truly wish the L-1011’s were still around….those were fantastic.

Jump to postI see HVN-STT as a good twice weekly island, same distance as SJU. Years back we took JFK-STX flights on AA DC-10;s and AA had a 727 waiting at STX to connect passengers on the STX flight to STT. STT back then had a short runway, I think less than 5000 feet and DC-10's could not use. Eastern plane ...
