But as I am often trying to take the last (19:14) out, I've noticed some pretty steady and drastic delays (most appear weather/afternoon thunderstorm related either at LYH or wherever my flight is coming from)....

I actually kinda liked Via's emerging strategy of connecting secondary and tertiary markets nonstop to SFB--places like JAN, BTR, MOB, and MGM that G4 or F9 wouldn't touch with a 320 but Via might make work with a regional jet. No guarantee it would work, but it seemed worth trying.

Lots of AA frequency cuts for January and February across the board. I realize these are seasonal drawdowns, but given that we are in mid-October, is there anything unusual about them? Does AA see a general softening of demand for that time period?

LH will last good while. The route is there to serve German business. It wasn’t originally meant for a LH-US hub connector. Indeed. I believe BNA has a smaller international market than IND. Their big draw is country music and that is mainly a domestic thing. But as we've seen on so many different new routes, the nonstop service stimulates demand. As for HQ2, I think it goes to a midsize city because they are the ones that are ...

Even 100% stimulation isn't going to fill planes on that route though. G4 already tried MSY-JAX which is another route with "destinations" on both sides. That had and has a PDEW of 50-60 without a nonstop and G4 couldn't stimulate enough demand to make that work, so I have a hard time see...

Another one that theoretically might be interesting would be Myrtle Beach, SC and Wilmington, NC. The area between the two airports (MYR, ILM) is among the fastest growing in the U.S. The two airports are currently located about 90 minutes apart.

On the home front, I think we'll see AVL-MSY in the next year or so. Would love to see that, it's a really cool city. Technically, Winston-Salem and Greensboro/High Point, NC are two different metro areas, both served by GSO. Same with GSP, which serves both Greenville, SC and Spartanburg.
