Re: Los Angeles Basin (BUR/LAX/LGB/ONT/SBD/SNA) Aviation - 2024

I thought the eagle nest was going to midfield south what happened with that? MSC South was only possible because AA gave up its maintenance hanger so they had a lot of leverage to get the lease terms it wanted. I doubt they agreed to MSC South if T5 is also available. And like I said, AA has the f...

T5 is totally fine. DL spent a bunch of money on it right before they moved to T2/3. The only issue is any further work to integrate the exterior facade with T4 and interior refresh depends on when LAWA can reach new exclusive use agreement and master lease with AA. That is expected to happen after...

I may be wrong, but reading the project details on the LAX website suggests all modernization efforts will be centralized and concentrated on Terminal 4. There is a separate project (in the conceptual phase) to redo the interior and the facade of T5. The new AA terminal (whether they call it T4, T5...

European legacy airlines organized themselves into regional monopolies with backing of European Governments and EU basically. The three legacy mega companies stopped competing with each other and their fortress hubs allowed them to grow margin and picked off the remaining weaker legacy carriers.

I think they're not doing that because while Delta and United are the sole tenants in their two terminals, AA isn't the sole occupant of 5. T2 has other airlines too.
