There never was an order. It was an MoU which per numerous Emirates statements remains active with Boeing and which includes conversion rights between the 787-9 and 787-10. You’re right... so how can they convert a lapsed LoI? Do we actually know that the LOI is lapsed? We just assume it has. The S...Jump to post

The A321XLR will be launched with great fanfare although with 'orders' that mostly consist of conversions from the A321LR
Otherwise, as per last Farnborough, many orders will be announced that are not actually orders or are ones that have already been announced

LHR to Nigeria used to be BA's most profitable routes, I don't know about now but fares were high and there were lots of customers willing to pay them. High cargo loads too. Another source briefed on the matter said the deal for 100 737 MAX jets was already on Boeing’s books, having been firmed up earlier and listed as an unidentified customer.
It's been surprising how little information has leaked on the 777X. No rumors of overweights or anything. Could it actually be better than expected and Boeing is sandbagging a little?. I think Boeing definitely needs some 'new tech' in addition to the 787, as the current lineup is dated in its origins. A 7K7/797 would be an excellent start but the concern is over the B777X and its ability to compete with the lighter competition. Hopefully new engine tech on all models will maintai...Jump to post
