Good to hear, that probably took a few conversations between CEOs. Wonder what concessions were made?

DFW had the Airtrans system groundside then added the TrAAin system to service AA terminals airside in 1990 using the same tracks. The system ended for passengers in 2003 with the airside Skylink system starting in 2005. FALSE. TrAAin was exclusively LANDSIDE. Its top speed was not much more than 1...Jump to post

I see big oportunities in how planes are operated at airports. I'm going to introduce a new airport vehicle which I'll call AARDVARK1 (airport aircraft recover disembark vehicle also release o'K 1). This is an electrically powered vehicle - charged by the airport infrastructure so it doesn't need a...Jump to post

Just returned from picking up my wife and took a photo of the arrivals board showing Southwest 6031 from Dallas-DFW! I'll try to post it later.Jump to post
Strange night, DAL had a ground stop for arrivals but DFW was not affected. My wife is on WN from MCO as we speak and was diverted to MSY for an hour or so. Lots of late arrivals.
On the flip side, we knew there was a problem at DFW when we saw AA and others approaching DAL due to DL 191 crash.
DL-yes (been there) AA -yes WN -yes UA? AS? HA? Technically, Frontiers of Flight museum at DAL is not run by WN but by a private group with support through grants by public and private sources. WN is definitely a major sponsor, however (an entire gallery is dedicated to their history) and, given th...Jump to post
I used to fly on KE 747s in the smallish business cabin in the mid-late 80s. As I remember it, the cabin was divided into Smoking Optional and Smoking Mandatory (or, so it seemed at the time.)Jump to post
From the article: What may have caused its demise were three significant events: 1) a three-time change in ownership inside of five years; 2) transitioning from one type of aircraft to another and then back again; and 3) bringing in off-island talent to run it. It would have been helpful if the auth...Jump to post
There are now much better options around for about 97% of the missions a 757 can fly. And ... for the other 3%, Boeing may as well re-open the 707 line, it's not much less advanced! Well, the E-6Bs are getting pretty old.... I don't believe most people not in the Aviation/Military industry understa...Jump to post

I don't understand AA's approach. Hi, I'd like to get opinions on when to book a train out of Atocha. My son flies into MAD at 07:30 on IB and will take a train to Seville the same day. This will be in mid May. Saying Air Force 1 is just an airframe used to haul the POTUS is like saying the E-6 is just a 707 with a couple of radios. Nothing against the various cargo planes, but the B1, B52, and B2 are all special as they are nuclear strategic bombers.
