In most of the World, such a claim would be covered by Force Majeure / Acts of God provisions, but we are dealing with litigation enthusiastic USA. Admittedly, I'm not a litigator, but in the case of the ATL power outage I can't see how equipment failure/poor design could be considered Force Majeure.

It's been rather quiet at RDU the last few months (as far as new service announcements go). I'd gotten rather used to DL announcing or launching a new route every few weeks. :)

Pax growth has been solid (not as high as 2016) and I suspect that will continue in 2018.

Yes, LAX does not have sufficient infrastructure to handle what they are doing now. It can easily take 30-45 minutes to drive the loop around the airport. I have never rented a car here, but friends have complained about having to allow an extra hour to return cars and get a shuttle to the terminal...
