Picking The Best Seat for Window Shots

I will be flying MCO to DCA and back on WN's 737s this week, and WN's open seating policy would likely afford me a generous opportunity to pick out a good seat. Both flights will be in the middle of the day. Which part of the aircraft would afford me the best opportunities for good shots out the win...

Lightning Damages KSFB Runway, Flights Diverted

I haven't seen it online yet, but local news is reporting that the Orlando Sanford International Airport has currently suspended operations after a bad lightning strike damaged the surface of the main runway 9L/27R during this evening's afternoon thunderstorms. Checking on Flightaware I can see that...

Isn't emergency equipment usually kept in its own segregated overhead compartment? On flight's I've taken here in the US I remember most planes hosting a smaller segment which kept first aid kits and AEDs, and it was clearly marked with its own miniature latch.

Allegiant has had a maintenance base at SFB for quite some time. It is somewhat more recently however that they have been occupying more spaces toward the south central part of the airport along Hangar Road. Rather than just having one or two planes there at a time like they used to, it is very comm...
