Re: OAG Changes 9/17/2017: UA Trims January, AS Cuts

From my personal perspective, as a SANfan, I'm happy to see no cuts for SAN. Almost all are from the Company's top two hubs (in the PNW.) They always cut PDX when there's a choice. Another carrier would be smart to try to get a beachhead. That's a massive winter reduction for a United. What's gonna...

Tim Clark is speaking at the #AviationFest in London and mentioned Emirates may explore all-economy A380s to compete against the rising long-haul low-cost carriers. If AA/DL/UA were right that EK doesn't care about profitability, why would they even do things like make the A380 more dense (as they ...

The thought of allowing any single airline to effectively control every gate at an airport should make everyone shudder. It's already too concentrated. WN would be arguing the opposite if we were talking about LGA or DCA.

It's because they are the largest carrier at LGA, but can't fly to Europe. So they straddle LGA with JFK and EWR to Europe. Said another way, they don't fly EWR domestic spokes because of LGA, and a lack of slots!
