Re: OAG Changes 5/28/2017: CA Drops LAXSZX, DL SLC-LHR Cut, J1 Adds ALB-PIT/JL/OR/HU/HY

So, is SLC-LHR permanently cut, or is it going seasonal like SLC-AMS is? Seasonal. Seasonal as of now. If the plane really went to Jet Airways then I think that will be tempting not to unwind. The challenge for VS and now DL at LHR has always been connectivity. That's a lot of why those off months ...

This is a great example of how the AA, formerly US, schedule philosophy really oversells capacity sometimes. This route is flat YOY, but they were selling 4x capacity. AA PHL-SEA OCT 4>1.1 NOV 4>1.0 DEC 4>3 This is weird, since it normally runs one trip off-peak, two trips in the shoulder, and thre...

Domestic flights seem to be off the map, but I don't see how you make a difference between international flight out of the US and a domestic flight as in many airports there is no separation of the two. Agreed. I don't really understand why something like that couldn't be created anywhere. The purp...

Re: OAG Changes 4/23/2017:DL BOS Expansion AUS/BUF/JAX/MCI/ORF

Thank u enilria as always. :) What is this airport code of USA? You meant UST (St Augustine) or UTA (Tunica)? Which one? Q No idea. I don't edit anything. Don't even know which route you are talking about. If it's invalid it's a misfile. All the G4 changes are cuts. Is this something seasonally nor...

OAG Changes 4/23/2017:DL BOS Expansion AUS/BUF/JAX/MCI/ORF

FAQ WHAT IS THIS REPORT? This compares departures for sale THIS WEEK for the stated period versus what was for sale LAST WEEK...It does NOT compare to last year or now (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED). THE SCHEDULES SHOWN HERE CHANGE AFTER YOU POST??? -To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change of...

What Seat Pitch Prevents Proper Crash Position?

I recently flew on a flight with 30" seat pitch. I'm not that tall and I was unable to achieve the example of crash position on the safety card because the seat is close that I could not bend over and clear my head to achieve crash position. Is this not a safety issue? This also seems like a wa...

Re: United Earnings Call 18 April

Nevertheless, the earnings gap obviously is very wide, and United has a lot more work to do than rebanking IAH. Historically, the relative margin gap between UA and DL is at its largest in Q1. UA performs relatively better in Q2/Q3. That is to say Q1 is a relatively weaker quarter for UA than it is...

Re: United CEO Met w/Chinese Officials to Apologize

The meeting was last week when things were hot and heavy and before all facts were out. Its since come out the dear Dr. was Vietnamese, not exactly the most friendly nationality to China. Also as pointed out yesterday by analyst, the UA China network accounts for ~3% of revenues, with a very heavy ...
