Finally they realize how wrong they were.
Of course you and I know about their espionage, the corporate culture that went down the shits when it became more about the shareholder and less about the company/people/culture. This could explain in a nutshell why there are so many WN loyalists out there...while there have been a lot of corporat...Jump to post
Still throwing darts at a map.. Just copying what NK has been doing for years... I'm surprised no OKC additions. Thought they'd try OKC-LAS or OKC-MCO or another leisure market. They still might some day I suppose. They fly OKC-MCO...and SAN...and DEN...OKC-LAS would be a bloodbath between them, WN...Jump to post

It's been ridiculous since they started considering more than 3 ounces of water, toothpaste, ketchup, etc a security threat.
More strikes anounced for May 3,4,7 and 8, bringing the total to 15 days. Latest industrial action courtesy of the pilot unions. Yaaaay...just in time for me to be transiting CDG on an AF flight to ATL on Friday. Can I go troll them if they're picketing outside the airport? This has got to be the n...Jump to post

Valid point...but a fruitless argument without bringing up how much the other airlines have paid in fines as well, some of which have had a few sizeable slaps in the wallet.Jump to post
Just looked at the B789 domestic---how thin would the seat pitch need to be to do a Y420 configuration? (Those are W18Y377, 25 below the exit limit.) Does premium revenue matter on the B789 or B773 domestic given that these routes are short, dense routes? Seatguru says 34"...which is INSANELY ...Jump to post

. Untold numbers have this happen to them every year. Why are they not a story? Where's the outrage? So, name names; who are all these airlines that don't offer any sweeteners or attend basic human needs? I'm curious too...if this happens as much as MSPNWA asserts, then it would be plastered across...Jump to post
discussed a fair bit here: http://www.airliners.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1391641 but yes, SY really dropped the ball. Not much more to the story - they really did just decide not to make much effort to return the pax due to cancelation of last flight of the season from from SJD and MZT. Th...Jump to post
How strict are US airlines with carry on luggage? In Europe it doesn't seem like they are too strict with it. They're not...and because they're not, they've allowed pax to bring the proverbial kitchen sink on board with them instead of enforcing the rules they set forth. This indirectly led to the ...Jump to post

NZ1 is a regular passenger service flown daily by AirNZ. It provides a direct flight between NZ and the UK with LAX as the regular stopover. Apparently AirNZ is quite popular on the route and carries a lot of customers solely between LHR and LAX, but not on to AKL where the flight terminates. Flew ...Jump to post

Well I may have actually been on the plane :). Evidently a hydraulic line broke. Interesting to do no- or very little bank turns, plus a very shallow descent. To be honest my mind totally went to JAL 123 as it seemed we were slowly turning without any real bank angle, and for a good 3/4 of an hour ...Jump to post

I flew FRA-IAH-OKC today...when going through the security checkpoint at IAH after clearing customs, the TSA folks announced that ALL food in carry-ons will have to be taken out for inspection. Louisiana One, who knows maybe a new flight to go with it. Good to see MSY get some love especially on top of the new airport opening next year. Looks beautiful! Looks like it. Considering how long it took them to equip them with BLENDED winglets (and, someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I still don't think their 757 fleet has been fully winglet modified yet), I highly doubt it.Jump to post
Spirit wouldn’t put up for F9’s dartboard approach. Really? I beg to disagree...NK's approach in the past when they've moved into an airport is more akin to strip mining...they move in and launch half a dozen (or more) routes from that new city...and end up canceling a good 1/3-1/2 of them within a...Jump to post
Wonder if the prices will actually go down, or if the lowest fare now becomes BE. AA is offering BOS-CDG for $430 on regular economy. I doubt they drop this even lower as a BE fare. I agree with AWACSooner (BTW, I always enjoy work trips to Tinker) in that some Y+ seats are overpriced but they don't have to be. Delta and AS have a little extra room and amenities for a little extra money. That's all I'm looking for, especially on relatively short trips. Have not seen what AA wi...Jump to post
