Re: Raleigh/Durham Aviation - 2024

Wish someone would offer Key West nonstop As far as a flight to Key West, maybe AA or DL will add it. Allegiant doesn't serve RDU anymore and Frontier has shown no interest in flying to Key West whatsoever. AA would be a long shot, unfortunately. DL seems to be stuck in neutral and so that’s no lon...

Re: Raleigh/Durham Aviation - 2024

Looks like Air France is upgauging to a 777-200 starting Winter 2025. Here’s the link below: https://www.aeroroutes.com/eng/240412-afns25rdu Up guaging from the 787 and down gauging from the 350. I think I would rather keep the 787 than having the 777. I always feel so much better after getting off...

Looks like AF is enjoying their RDU adventure. On top of going daily, starting in October, they are increasing their winter schedule from 3x weekly to 5x weekly with no flights on Tuesday/Thursday. Frontier could probably make it with 1.5 gates. Spirit doesn’t need a solo gate. Sun country doesn’t need a solo gate. Beeeze could use 2,5. I think Frontier could go over right now without a problem. Southwest doesn’t need all the gates they have. Their service w is so low right now it’s dreadful.

My 2 cents.. which doesn’t account for much.. but RDU doesn’t have the gate space for any type of hub, and BNA has a 300lb behemoth that would make anyone else hubbing there fail.
