So.. what’s left for RDU to go after? Domestic - PDX is all I can think of.. maybe a return to USVI (STT or STX).. maybe regional routes.. International is a different story but RDU does seem well served

It’s how DL started on MSY earlier.. in my opinion, DL should go ahead and make MIA, BDL, MSY, and RSW daily CR9/E75 and start analyzing the other routes being taken..

So just read on RDU twitter that the 4 T1 gates will activate this year. So I guess Frontier, Allegiant, and Spirit will move over??? JetBlue? And then DL will expand??? Wonder what the future holding.. maybe RDUAA will use the breathing room to work on the first Concourse D finger pier?

There are currently about 4 -5 gates open in T2 from what I could tell.. I thin D8, D16, C8, and C22 maybe???? Maybe another 1?

I don’t know if this still holds true or not but RDUAA has specifically stated they are not interested in hubbing RDU and would rather be an outstation... now whether they still feel that way, I don’t know.. but it’s working for them... it’s pretty well connected without being owned by anyone and ab...

So this sounds like the right time for an airline to come in and offer regional routes (think SC, intraNC, Tn, VA, WV, GA) and I realize with all these carriers....

So who will be the first to get pics of the construction of the new UA club? And I wonder if this means DL won’t be able to expand their club now? I’m assuming the UA club is on the D side while DL and AA are on the C side?

Saw this elsewhere.. Similarly, a new United Club lounge is coming at Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU). Construction is already underway. Again, no formal opening date target but it should be a matter of months, not years.

You know what I would like.. I would like RDU to talk to CapeAir and see if they would be interested in starting RDU-MEO/ORF/CAE/GSP/TYS/SAV/CHS/EWN/AVL.. I know some of them are driving distance.. but I think enough people travel those routes for a 9 seater.. and they can give them landing fee waiv...

Interesting. Didn’t they get kicked out of CLT for not paying their fees? Either way.. nice to see a new name.. hopefully it will start a roll for new airlines. Although space is getting tight... those new gates can’t open soon enough...

So, it could be a shift from E90s to A220s for JetBlue to RDU. That could be cool but it would then look like most of the E90s would be phased out by current operators. Thoughts?

As far as possible Delta Connection adds how do Pittsburgh, Memphis, Milwaukee, Jacksonville, or San Antonio grab you guys? I wish I could predict Delta’s moves, but it looks like the shift has gone away from RDU and appear to be showing up BOS now.. SEA getting a little love.. ATL, not so much.. D...

RDU-BHM is not an uncommon route.. places I also see from their route map they can do is MEM, CAE, and Tallahassee...

Why is it other airports can get foreign carriers but not RDU. We only have AC.. is it a reflection on RDU or is it a reflection that the other airport have a different draw?

If also add regional flights (CHS, GSP, AVL, ORF, BMH, JAX, SAV, etc), Caribbean (BDA, NAS, etc), Latin America (Panama City, Costa Rica, Quito), and European (AMS, FRA).. Not all daily..

They 4 gates that are available (T1-T4) are being brought online and will be up by 2020... from what I understand, the baggage system wasn’t connected to those gates so they have to fix that.. of course, why they would do that is beyond not bright to me...
