DL won’t do DEN, PHX, or any Bay Area airports. PHX is low yield to start with, which is why AA doesn’t do it. DEN is well covered with WN, F9 and UA. SFO has one too many flights as is possibly. OAK and SJC don’t have any O&D destinations for DL. Is there much left for DL to add, then? New Orl...

I can only hope they are well.. even though some airports are getting new service, I’m actually okay with RDU TATL service.. if anything, would like to see more Canadian, Bahamas, Bermuda, and Caribbean... and weekly service sounds good too. But anyway... it’s all good

RDU at both DCA and LGA were huge for pre-AA and pre-US.. I think they each had 6-8 DCA and each had 8-12 LGA.. at one point, between AA, US, and DL.. there were 22-24 round trips to LGA alone... all regional... memories

Okay... just to jump on the “what if” but unlikely announcement... I’m gonna say AS will include 1 daily RDU-SAN/PDX (and take the including incentives being offered by RDU and SAN.. and add another almost daily (5x weekly) to SEA to put the jump on DL who plans to add a 2nd daily... Thoughts? Go.....

Sorry, but what I think should happen is... they move the other airlines at the end of D to other gates and RDU start on the first finger to expand 2 in order to start working on RDU Vision 2040... add 5-6 gates.. and then start on the middle finger.. and finally the international gate finger.. unti...

In today’s news... looks like Terminal 1 new gates anticipated opening Apr 1, 2020 with Allegiant and Frontier crossing over.. that opens up 2 gates in Terminal 2... for a total of 4 gates open in Terminal 2 when that occurs.. but will that be enough? Delta chooses new caterer for RDU.. Newrest, a french firm out of Canada, will take over from LSG Group. They will service all RDU flights with catering, including CDG. 65 jobs. RDU is currently the only station in the US being used by newest.

I don’t think the number of flights between PHX and CLat has anything to do with it other than there are connection opportunities. CLT has nothing to do with RDU. I don’t think there is a real market for PHX-RDU... can’t think of any real business ties and leisure seems low, also. PDX or daily SAN seem more profitable than PHX.. it’s best to leave it with WN and F9 and let AA increase DFW and LAX if they want to cover those going to PHX

Mainline is/has been on TPA, BOS, and MCO..most of the other routes are true regional and most are getting upgraded to large regional...

Finally! Hit another top 20 business market. I don’t know if y’all remember, but DL has stated they want to serve RDU top 25. This was definitely a gap and desperately need for DL to get business share and contracts. Awesome news. Hopefully more to come..

I don’t see a single line in that news article where a quote from a DL spokesperson or high level management official stated AUS was or will become a DL focus city. Without it coming directly from DL, it is just words from the news caster... who can be notoriously wrong...

Delta at RDU has 11 gates... so if you are saying DL at AUS will be growing to the same size as RDU, the numbers don’t add up. This fall, DL will be at 80 daily flights at 11 gates.. if AUS has 6..
