Hopefully this is the next step to year round service to PHL or at least daily in the summer.

The 1-stop options via LVI (4 weekly) and VFA (3 weekly) will probably continue with E190...while the 3 nonstops will be with 737-800. They have lately at peak times and demand upgraded some 1-stop flights to 737. Are these new flights timed to connect with the new JFK flights perhaps? The flights ...Jump to post

I would have expected this to be a MAX route instead of a 757
PHL, CLE, MSP, YUL, and YHZ are the announced MAX routes (so far)

Would be nice to have it coupled with LPB in a triangular routing: BOG-LBP-VVI-BOG
I know it's been discussed before but LPB is a big gap for CM
It is great to see FZ expanding and going forward with EK. Also Sarajevo flight is having a tag to Pogdorica (TGD), from NAV17 FZ is also going to start flights to Dubrovnik (4weekly) and Kutasi (2 weekly), both from DXB, So far it seems that the plans to move to DWC are not going to happen in the ...Jump to post

[quote="727LOVER" Do the 190s even go to CLT? I live in Florida...do either come down here?[/quote] No, the E190s are based out of PHL but rotate in on the DCA-LGA-BOS Shuttle routes but they are moving more towards A319s. The closest the come to CLT is PHL-RDU several times a day. I belie...Jump to post
What's up with GYE that made UA and DL decide to drop the route. GYE was one of CO's earliest forays outside of Mexico from IAH, originally launched in the early '90s from IAH via PTY. Later it had it's own dedicated service to IAH, also in the '90s through mid '00s CO served GYE from EWR, again vi...Jump to post

I hear that American Airlines plans to retire their Airbus A330-300 fleet by the end of the decade, around 2019 Try next year, as in, a few months from now. The E190s will be retired in 2019. When the E190's go I wonder why they'll put on the BOS-LGA shuttle. A319's again? My guess would be the Shu...Jump to post
I hear that American Airlines plans to retire their Airbus A330-300 fleet by the end of the decade, around 2019. I also hear that when this happens, AA will bring their 777 and 787 fleets to the LUS hubs, CLT and PHL. Who else knows about this and what will happen? The A330 - in terms of both size ...Jump to post

I'm surprised it's taken this long to get a PHL-MSN flight and surprised it wasn't AA who offered it. Not sure what that PDEW numbers are but if F9 feels they can make a profit with a 320 than surely there are enough passengers to fill a CRJ/CR7? Especially when accounting for onward connections. I recently saw the CEO of PHL speak at an event and she stressed the need for business and leisure travelers to "fly the other guys". With AA having such a fortress hub at PHL, other airlines are finding it difficult to compete. DL did wonders for the fares on PHL-LHR...Jump to post

I've never, ever been a nervous flier but my scariest flight was LPB-RBQ on this bird below! 0926842 The cabin was so horribly small you had to bend at a 90 degree angle walking down the aisle, feeling incredibly claustrophobic. We are rolling down the runway in La Paz for 60+ seconds struggling to ...Jump to post
I visited Victoria Falls, both in Zimbabwe and Zambia, in early 2014. The amount of tourists in Zim was substantially less than Zam - we practically had the place to ourselves.
While I agree the Zim side is better for viewing the falls, why has VFA received more air service than LVI?
From what their website is showing, the flight into SAT on 5/1 is full, with only 5 seats open. It's pretty much the same out of SAT, it's pretty much full as well, except for 11 seats. I'd say the route is doing pretty well. I wouldn't call 15% of the seats open (11 out of 75) "full" but...Jump to post
I also wouldn't be surprised if UA low-key asked CM to stay out of MSY neither due to its proximity to IAH, although DFW is a large enough market that could support AA, CM, and connecting UA pax that wouldn't steel too many UA pax. You would think with the history with pmCO and CM that there would ...Jump to post

This is great to hear! I fly PHL-SEA on AS every other month and it's constantly full - even in the winter! So that might me thought how many more people could visit Sarajevo is it had more direct, low-cost connections. Wow. When it's all said and done PHL's transatlantic offering will probably look a lot like ORD - year round LHR complemented by seasonal services to a few extremely popular markets like CDG, DUB and FCO. Everything else will probably be shifted to JFK or abandoned entirely like BRU. I've been wond...Jump to post
