Re: Phoenix Aviation - 2024

The amount of growth in the phx-slc/pvu market has been pretty astounding. Phx-SLC on DL has grown pretty immensely over the last 6-8 years. AA had been hit or miss with the frequency, now it seems they are consistently 4-6x. WN have been established for a while. PVU has basically grown from nothing...

Re: American Airlines Network - 2024

These points are all pretty fair. I believe the stats on performance metrics are starting to turn a bit as AA has seen drastic improvement in the past 2 years, but most of these assertions are valid - if I lived in Atlanta (or Minneapolis, Detroit, Salt Lake City, etc.), I'd be flying Delta. In my ...

I'd imagine they'll depart from T3 and tow-off from T4 back to T3 for their departure afterwards. I fully expect them to have a lot of growing pains on this route - in part because of it being pretty well served already (which SJD just is in general - not just from PHX) but also their lack of exper...

US brought to AA a core narrowbody fleet of Airbus 319/320s and 321s that were newer than AA's gas guzzling, out-dated MD80s and aging 757s. That fleet helped to ultimately build American an even better domestic network. Hmm grumble grumble. US took about 275 319/320/321s to the combined company*. ...

The only way I see DL going for the 787 is in a 2-4-2 configuration. Why would DL go 2-4-2 on a 787? That would kill the CASM as well as make no economic sense.
