Flying out of BOS this morning and just saw the morning BA BOS-LHR depart. Was a 744, though I know they’ve operated the 772 & 789 as well. How does this flight do overall for loads? Does the fact it’s a 744 in winter mean it’s typically a busy flight? My boss flew out last week and had the ent...Jump to post

I'm pretty sure that is far out of range even of an A321LR. At 3,850nm it should be well within the range of the A321LR, especially as DL would not have it as a full Y at capacity. My bad, then I guess the neo couldn't make it. Does Delta have any LR's on order? DL only has NEOs on order, no LRs yet.Jump to post
What about trying some South American markets? RDU-GRU is pushing it, but in a light layout it could work? Or PHL-CNF?Jump to post

The HGW A321 is too much of a bandaid for a long term solution. The plane has plenty of power, but needs a new wing. Most A321CEO's cant climb above 29,000-31,000 initial at high weights. This hurts efficiency greatly. Loading up the belly with fuel isn't sustainable either, new wings should be des...Jump to post

One *possible* hit with zero damages.
This drone danger arguments are overblown.

Tell us with full confidence that Boeing has not/does not receive any sort of subsidy, tax break or preferential treatment from any level of governments and we shall support your statement. Show us where Boeing gets unusual and extraordinary federal government assistance a la DL's ME3 allegations, ...Jump to post
I understand that DXB is mainly connecting pax and UA doesn't fly there anymore anyway. America First doesn't apply to all industries ie air transport and that is fine because our government allowed these deals. But as a Global Services member I will never enter an Emirates cabin and Dubai (IMHO) a...Jump to post
How about we ask the actual staff what they think about it rather than some politicians opinion? If the people wearing it have no problem, great! If they also find it distasteful, than they change it.Jump to post

LATAM not afraid to cut routes. They dropped SFO after only little more than 2 years also. I wonder how upcoming BOS will do? I think BOS will do just fine, keep in mind the flight is to Sao Paulo, which is a much bigger market than Lima, especially with Boston's limited service to South America th...Jump to post

Why fly BA now when you can fly easyjet and Ryanair? How does BA compare in price to LCC's? I recently made a search for my sister and ended up buying a flight with Ryanair. Hell, her bag was 3kg overweight and they didn't charge her anything! I fail to see the upside in flying with BA within Europ...Jump to post
Eh, different business cases. The LAS add from JJ is only for a few weeks, and entirely oriented around O&D to and from GRU. Also, part of a broader strategy on LATAM's part to be more aggressive with new route planning. They've added SCL-MEL, LIM-BCN, LIM-IAD, LIM-SJO, and GRU-JNB in recent mo...Jump to post
I think every has already answered your question. There are MULTIPLE connection points that are better (geographically or strategically) placed than GRU-PTY-NRT. GRU-JFK-TYO and GRU-YYZ-TYO are basically on the fastest trajectory to Tokyo, and those flights already exist. If we're just talking about...Jump to post
Slightly OT, but what did HA use for west coast ops before the NEOs started coming in? Just the A330?Jump to post
could a daily GRU-MIA-NRT or GRU-JFK-NRT be profitable? Makes no sense when you have partners that can accomplish the exact goals. This is why JL canceled GRU-JFK, because the might as well use AA for that leg and connect pax. GRU-MIA-NRT is just a longer way to get to NRT, might as well go to JFK ...Jump to post
Aren't their A332s basically new? Why are they being retired by 2021? Some of them are a bit older - maybe those are the ones ch-aviation is referring to. In any case, the answer is AR will need more capacity and range. FCO is at the very limit of the 242t version of the A332 range. At some point A...Jump to post
