But in the end, when do you see the livery and who cares about it? Er, every time the plane is at an airport? And there you usually already bought the ticket. It's part of the overall marketing. Printed and digital media will feature the livery, and along with spotters, pax and aircraft flying in a...Jump to post
This is my copy/paste answer for all of these threads...
Because it was the best product for them (be it price, availability, performance, size, commonality, relationship with OEM and/or Gov, etc).
Does that include complaining about not getting paid?Jump to post
WOW? Avianca Brasil? Jet Airways? Wasn't Avianca returning NEOs because of "restructuring"? WOW seems unlikely as well (unless they get rid of CEOs to favor NEOs). ...which was my (somewhat humourous) point. That these aircraft seem to bounce around between bankrupt and near-bankrupt airl...Jump to post
Just saw the first A320 in the new colors land at Dublin! My A333 to Boston was damaged and we had to deboard, but that worked out for us avgeeks to see the new livery. It actually looked great live, reminded me a lot of AS' livery, as others have pointed out.Jump to post

Just booked JFK-LIS on a TAP A330 NEO, excited to give it a try. I always thought the A330 was one of the ugliest commercial aircraft but it looks a lot better with these updates. I still think the winglets look a little off, but better than the "square" ish ones from before. :grumpy: Tha...Jump to post
Stories like this make my blood boil. Someone else after their 5 minutes of fame and wanting to get whatever they can from the airlines. Still going with this thread? There is something about US airlines flying Airbus widebodies that absolutely makes some posters insane. The record appears to show that DL likes the 359 just fine, but in hindsight may not have made the optimum MTOW choice. I'm sure Airbus will be happy to address tha...Jump to post
Tipping culture is the worst. I wish people in America paid their employees a living wage rather than relying on the kindness of strangers. Hope this isn't a trend. Unless you live in one of the 6 countries that have a higher per capita income than the US, it must be painful to be so ignorant. Seri...Jump to post

TTailedTiger wrote:I think the better question is why Airbus needs winglets at all. Boeing has never need them with the 777 and 787. Did Boeing patent the integrated raked wingtip?
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but since airbus increased the size of the Sharklets for the standard A359, what happens to operators who've received a few examples with the "old" shorter one like LH and DL. Will their later models get the newer one or will they keep them all the same to...Jump to post
Genius! Kudos to the marketing agency/dept.Jump to post
Airbus must be devastated. No they aren't, because they got what they wanted: Delta keeps the 10 A350s in the books, so that it appears that the A330 does not eat up into the A350 order book. In reality the A330 drains more sales from the A350 than from the 787. List some examples of the A330 drain...Jump to post
incitatus wrote:Not a surprise that this thread degenerated into a Boeing versus Airbus argument. But fact remains that Airbus just lost a 10-frame A350 sale to itself.
All-y'all arguing for Boeing are wasting your time
I don't think Boeing is trying very hard. After losing 4/5 orders in the past decade, Richard Anderson making false claims about the 777 resale value (Anderson based it off of an unairworthy frame with no engines) and his lies about wanting the 787-10 I think Boeing is seeking greener pastures. If ...Jump to post
Was supposed to be flying BOS-FRA today but the flight was canceled due to an issue with a door according to gate staff (have a video of them announcing the mechanical issue). We had to leave the gate and go to baggage claim and pick up our bags and try to get rebooked. When I tried to rebook the CS...Jump to post
DL is a major customer of both OEMs, surprised Boeing didn't lowball the price on the 787 like they supposedly did with HA, if that was the reason I don't think Boeing is trying very hard. After losing 4/5 orders in the past decade, Richard Anderson making false claims about the 777 resale value (A...Jump to post
Will the NEOs have PS? If so, it may not be a huge capacity increase over the 763s/764s when you count in the reduction of regular economy for more Delta Ones and Premium Selects (and maybe more Comfort+?)Jump to post
I wish we would see DL/AA do the same with some of their NEOsJump to post
Let’s see: 1. You and others conjecture 78J can’t fly Europe to US West Coast w full load and some cargo. 2. Then a well run airline schedules the thing you say is implausible. 3. Rather than consider the well run airline might know what they’re doing you instead make an absurd statement about play...Jump to post
An 787-10 can take 40 LD3, an impressive number. If a filled LD3 container weigh on average 1400kg and holds 300 passengers on average, with a little headwind, you can perfectly fly AMS-SFO. And youcan play soccer lower deck. KLM probably can better utilize the 772ER's to Asia and A333s east coast....Jump to post

Totally agree that the topic title is misleading. Nothing in the article suggests anything about growth in operations or being the "top two largest stations." And even if there is an internal document with that phrase, the way DL defines hubs/focus cities is totally nebulous. That being s...Jump to post
