Frontier is also launching FLL-ROC, which is likely why Spirit avoided this duplication. (Though F9 does also operate ROC-MCO.)

I think JAX-FLL is largely to use a free aircraft early in the am/late in the pm to feed FLL connections. If it injects profitable $$$ into the Latin America and Caribbean network, it will stay.

Plus, FLL-PHX basically replaces FLL-LGB, and I'm willing to bet PHX will perform better than LGB. Much better use of the aircraft. Now that you mentioned it, I agree SRQ is safe. JetBlue is charging a good amount for the non-HAV flights. Even with loads in the mid 50's I can't imagine that the flights are performing poorly given the short stage length and the high fares.
