Re: New Airport Opens In Williston, North Dakota

I think it's interesting that Fargo has one of the worst, and smallest, airport terminal buildings in the state, and they had almost 450,000 passengers in 2018. Bismarck has a much nicer, newer terminal and they had around 248,000 passengers. Grand Forks also has a new, rather fancy terminal with s...

It will be interesting to see what happens to these hot and high airports in the next decade as the 757 retires into the dustbin of history. Weight restricted A320s cant be desired by the airlines. Is this something an A220 could manage at full load? Might be these airports will need to lengthen th...

I suspect the C renovations will be half measures at best. They don't want to touch any of the asbestos stuff that remains in place there, so ceilings/major work won't happen, just floors and some cosmetic things. Ultimately, it will have to go in the next 10-20 years to a new/rebuild. The reason t...

Observing a "quantum change" as you put it, changes the result by observing it. Safety culture changed and airlines started taking it more serious, which was a great thing. What's happened is a classic correlation vs. causation. Pilot hour requirements went up and fatalities went down =/ ...

Sorry to bust the naysayers bubble, but those of us in these smaller markets are ALREADY paying a premium.
