Turnaround times. Though I suspect this has much impact than some people make it out to be.

B6's memo sounds heavily passive-aggressive. I think they are trying to leverage the situation for the Spirit merger. And I bet AA is fighting it for the same reason - to prevent it.

Everybody forgets that the A220 business class seat is actually a premium economy seat. You are not going to get people paying F class prices for a PE seat. On the other hand, if they could offer basically a PE service with PE prices there might be a market. All comes down to marketing.

As far as I know, the ORH-JFK flight is being reduced from 2x daily to 1x daily starting on 06/15, and not being canceled. The 2x daily flight ORH-JFK is back on the schedule 10/29. Financially, what would AA loose if they called off the NEA?

With JetBlue now purchasing Spirit, could AA now want out of the NEA deal, but use a loosing court case as justification to avoid financial penalties? Could it be a bit of an underhanded way to prevent JetBlue from purchasing Spirit?

I think they are also taking advantage of the fact that the new Acela trains won't be coming online until the end of 2023 at the earliest. The trains are getting to be too expensive and crowded, and at least some people will trade off the inconvenience of getting from LGA to Manhattan over the price...
