Maybe eventually. I think the only change with the widebodies at first will be that they'll do some US mainland turns between Hawaii flights to improve utilization. International is another whole nut to crack, beyond 2 mergers in a decade.

I don’t think DL would buy pre-Sky Interior 739ERs.

There are not many operators of later 739ERs and all of them except Lion seem like operators who need the lift. I think it might actually be easier to add capacity of this nature with used A321ceos.
