Very interesting read, and his predictions are pretty accurate. Was he the only skeptic back then? Probably not. However it seems to me that by the point he wrote this we were far too deep to reverse course.. then again someone would make the same claim about Ares, and all sorts of people are saying...

with all the talk surrounding icing problems, how will the 787 handle de-icing being a bleedless design?

electric heaters I suppose?
