The wildcards here seem like OAK and SNA as most of their service is out West. Of course these airports have to be included or whats the point of this. ATL and LAS might have all the cities covered, Dallas, Denver, too seem to have most or all.

This is why most really frequent travelers on the route take Amtrak Acela. The only reason the shuttles still operate is accella sells out so much there is plenty of market for the airlines.

I think the biggest issue is congestion, it doesn't take much of anything to make LGA have huge delays.

If any airlines would be likely to serve MCI with a long haul international route its going to be a LCC like Norwegian, Icelandair, WOW, or Level. And any of those will want costs to be as low as possible ie keep existing facilities.

I think they sit so that connection times work out on both ends both directions. It would be hard to time anything else that would allow for connections. Also with lie flat business I would want this overnight, it's efficient use of time. United just announced ewr-eze and is using the Same overnight...

Scoot can do on the Pacific what Norweigan, WOW, and Iceland are doing over the Atlantic. The market for ULCC is huge they are where the growth is going to be. There is absolutely demand for a scoot across the Pacific. Eventually we will see a ULCC in almost every major market.

there are lots of 9 they can use. I doubt they care at all. The Boeing 808 seems pretty much the same thing they make the 797 which doesn't seem like it will be anytime soon.

I would say it's a route the middle East carriers are probably looking at. They can do o&d in the peak times with a large plane and do on stops to their hubs in the off times with a smaller plane. Emirates seems to be making jfk-mxp work, I bet the ME3 if this could possibly work.

Frontier network is shaping up like Allegiant a few focus cities but they will operate other routes they think are underserved. Yeah i agree LAS will be a popular station. Rent is really affordable even cheap to get a crash pad, many things to do on off days, great nightlife for younger people. I think alot of people will jump for LAS as a crew base.

As others said they are shrinking Denver and going to a more allegiant model ulcc. Look at allegiant route map they are pretty all over the place too.

The less then daily model seems to really be ideal for a leisure csrrier
