People on a.net have a hard time leaving emotions behind. AA cares about making money not legacies or traditions. Reality is NYC has become very competitive and crowded. Delta has such a PR opportunity.

Fly a plane down there and offer them $199 plus taxes to get home. The MSP media will love it and will be very cheap publicity! additionally they will win over some flyers to be loyal to delta forever.

Seems like a decent try for AS. I think AA might retract. It's nothing against AA at all it's more they are small in SEA and are shrinking JFK. It's a very competitive market now. This only makes cents. AA makes more money at a fortress hub and NYC is extremely competitive . PHL provides alot more connection power too.

AA is being smart to share holders by reducing JFK, too much competition in the NYC area right now unless you have a competitive advantage.

These last few storms have been very very very crazy. A few miles can make all the difference in the world. EWR that last storm most areas just a few miles west got 24-26 inches. It's hard for the airlines to know as the line have been so close.

I think destination and number of first class seats makes a difference. Flights to LAS or Reno go thru more than flights to Omaha. Also number of people who drink for free if 24 or 8 makes a huge difference .

SU does fly the 777-300 so there are people looking to fly this route. Yield is anyone's guess many ME3 connections to trash yields. 3x a week for HX doesn't seem to crazy though. It seems like this time regardless of what happened or why they are making it work. The 787 is probably a good choice in FC because the dog can just use one seat as a comfy bed with maybe some extra blankets on top, and its chaperone can have the seat nextdoor. Should be a pretty comfortable flight....

Norweigan offers a really solid product. Hard to complain. Compared to Rogue the norweigan product and experience is light years better. Rogue has the edge of being established as a LCC for so long . Wish them luck, I do see them working might just be a challenge.

Wind was a major issue today. The snow did hold off until later in the day but it was snowing pretty hard at Newark this evening visibility was pretty rough.

Possible but DEN is very very competitive on airfares already. Competition is too fierce I'm afraid. I would say that idea would have been better for COS before frontier exploded down there. Too late now. EGE might work seasonally for them, I wish a LCC would get in there and shake up the crazy high...

The good old days at CVG! Insane to think now you could travel non-stop to Anchorage or HNL. The non-stop European cities served is really impressive too,
