Re: JetBlue To Launch BOS-SYR

This was more than expected. B6 is picking off AA's non-hub routes. ROC should be next. Good point, I forgot AA continues to fly this (and ROC). And if I recall correctly, AA is dropping BOS-BUF (and DL will add it)...I wonder if DL will follow the same playbook, given that SYR is arguably less imp...

JetBlue To Launch BOS-SYR

Just the other day I said I'd be shocked if MSP wasn't the next market from BOS. But SYR certainly makes sense, and is not a surprise by any stretch...perhaps Schumer's pull continues to be significant: One flight a day clearly aimed for connections over BOS. Wow look at those flight times  h...

He claims best bet is for b6 to just walk away from LGB http://crankyflier.com/2017/08/21/jetblues-best-west-coast-option-may-be-to-walk-away/ He makes a good argument. Redeploying those A320's to bolster BOS/FLL/JFK is likely to be far more profitable for B6, and also serves a strategic goal of fa...

LGB is slot controlled as is SNA. The others are not. Re: LGB doubles fines on JetBlue's late-night flight violations

As much as I think LGB is a great airport, I think B6 will soon begin scaling down its operation - for a few reasons: (1) The additional capacity (added to keep WN from taking slots) made LGB go from marginally profitable to marginally (or potentially significantly) unprofitable. The flights to SJC ...

Backing to LAX, the issue is that B6 has to compete against the majors, and then against WN and AS. Re: Embraer pitches E195-E2 for JetBlue

I was at BOS yesterday for 5+ hours (flew CDG-BOS-LGA on AA), and I didn't really understand the extent to which the E190 acts as the backbone to B6's operation until now. I would say over 2/3 of active B6 planes I saw were E190's. It's hard to see how B6 would get rid of its 100-seat aircraft - at ...

Re: Why No JetBlue In MIA?

I very well think a token B6 presence at MIA is justifiable. B6 has primary and accompanying secondary presences in the NYC, Boston, DC, LA, and SF metro markets. NYC - JFK primary, LGA/EWR/SWF/HPN secondary Boston - BOS primary, PVD/ORH secondary DC - DCA primary, IAD/BWI secondary LA - LGB/LAX pri...

Re: OAG Changes 5/21/2017:AA Drops LGA-MCI, B6 Drops LAS-SFO, DL Drops SLC-MIA

Re B6 dropping LAS-SFO - This route never made sense given neither is a B6 focus city, and B6 is very limited in gate space at SFO. With just 2 gates, B6 turns 6x to JFK, 3x to BOS (soon to be 4x), 2x to FLL, and 5x to LGB. Dropping the 2x to LAS gives B6 some breathing room, which could be especial...

Re: JetBlue New NYPD Livery

Beautiful plane. Happy to see B6 continue to differentiate itself with its special liveries.

Happy to see the NYPD honored. They have one of the toughest jobs and do an incredible job keeping NYC safe.
