Re: JetBlue plans move of MEX slots from LAX to BOS&JFK

This will certainly eat some of their connections at FLL and MCO... Sure, although it now makes B6 a competitive option for New Yorkers and Bostonians. I doubt B6 makes much money at MEX to begin with though - it's a much different market from B6's bread-and-butter Island flying, and sometimes walk...

The seat and colors used in Phase 2 are quite impressive! With the new A320 Airspace Interior, those old B6 A320 birds will look quite nice. What's up with this phase 1 and 2 thing? Re: JetBlue Network Thread 2018

There are many routes that I think B6 should add out of JFK if slot wasn't an issue and DFW happens to be one of them. I think they can add DFW-FLL, but it would have to survive mostly on connections and likely loose money. The within perimeter routes that I think they can add out of JFK if slot is...

You're not overthinking - it's a logical argument, and I think B6 would be smart to try to capitalize on its SEA-ANC-SEA flight times to connect with Mint service to JFK/BOS. FLL-SEA is a logical add, although I'm not sure the A320 has the legs to do it, so they may need to deploy a Mint-configured...

There is still room to grow Mint a bit domestically, likely from EWR to California, and maybe even FLL to SAN/SEA. FLL-LAX/SFO are consistently sold out days - if not weeks - in advance. Re: OAG Changes 1/28/2018:AS Drops DAL-SFO?; DL Adds SLC-PIT; F9 Drops MCO-CUN; UA Drops IAH-BDL, LAX-TUS

Thanks enilria!! Whew! I was getting worried there. Thanks as usual for your hard work. \AA JFK-PAP JUN 1.0>1.8 JUL 1.0>2 AUG 1.0>1.6 not all reductions out of JFK for AA! This appears to be an error as I still see flights on their website. But who knows. It's very odd only one route disappeared. **...

Re: B6 Announces Q4 2017 Earnings

I still see jetblue purchasing e2 although I think having cs100 cleared of tariffs certainly give them a lot more bargaining power. All depends on what kind of deal airbus offers them I guess. As for tatl, I really can't see it not happening at this point. Even if margin is not great on tatl itself...

Re: B6 Announces Q4 2017 Earnings

So many people love B6 and their excellent customer service, no wonder B6 is doing very good. With a top line miss, the question remains as to whether or not customers are willing to pay a premium for that excellent customer service. In the past that simply hasn't been the case, and B6 is still nee...

Re: B6 Announces Q4 2017 Earnings

No mention of the low ranking this year for on time arrivals? I know the summer runway maintenance at BOS/JFK were largely to blame, but still could have at least been mentioned. I've seen alot of negative press lately about the on time arrivals for B6 this year. There was some mention. B6 manageme...

Re: B6 Announces Q4 2017 Earnings

Some more notable points from the conference call: (1) A320 retrofit has finally started (2) BOS and FLL capacity to grow by 13% and 6%, respectively, this quarter (3) Caribbean and LatAm had largest RASM growth (4) Even More Space generated ~$55M in revenue during the year (5) Expect to focus ancil...

Re: B6 Announces Q4 2017 Earnings

The other thing they mentioned is that an a321lr evaluation is mostly complete and will make an announcement soon. Kind of crazy to me that they are not adding more mint aircraft this year when a route like fll lax is doing so well. I guess they are relying on the 200 seaters deliveries and a320 re...

Re: Boston aviation - 2018

Ya, I agree. I wouldn't be surprised if B6 starts its TATL service from BOS before JFK. It has a very loyal customer base and much less competition there. And BOS is an affluent market that can easily fill the small-ish Mint cabins. I would agree, to try and fight it out of the gate in JFK might be...
