Re: Pre-screening flleitee

Looking at it on my screening PC, I think the front half is too noisy/grainy, plus blurry. I don't think the quality will be up to par, even at 1200px wide.

I agree with Jehan. Also some minor jaggies towards the wingtip, which I would eliminate as well.

Re: Database Errors

Unfortunately the editors haven't had (and still don't have) their tools since the site relaunch. As a result, it's hard to maintain certain aspects of the database. The result is that there are many incorrect entries and options. So it's up to the photographer to choose the correct one and unfortun...

Re: General announcements & discussions

The cause of the above issue is related to a potential fix regarding the appeal E-mails to the screeners (we receive an overview of the appeal results to calibrate our screening). The update was rolled back some 2 - 2,5 hours, so in theory people should be receiving screening E-mails again. If anyon...

Re: What’s the font used for the Airliners.net logo?

I've been working on creating a logo similar to the old one (747 with A.net titles). A colleague screener came up with 'impact' as being the font, which does match quite well I think. I'm unable to find a specific name for the Boeing font, but it's not the same as the A.net one. You can find a close...

Hi Andrew,

#1: yellow, soft fuselage. Marginal quality.
#2: underexposed, needs a tighter crop. Poor light angle.
#3: blurry, low contrast, poor light.
#4: underexposed (way too backlit, unfixable by default).
#5: underexposed, low contrast, marginal light.

Re: Rejection feedback please

This was my doing. Evan (the above poster) is pretty much spot on. With a code on the aircraft (#5 and #6), it is very easy to figure out the ID numbers based on the database or Google. As for low contrast, it looks like too much lifting of the shadows was used in post-processing. Ading more shadows...
