Re: United seeks to return to JFK

If United wants to get back in then they should divest slots elsewhere. They tried to stick it to B6 with the DL EWR/LGA swap. Other airlines shouldn't have to give up slots because of there short sighted decision. Who is making this rule? You? Given they have no presence at JFK and would likely be...

I think Airbus is pushing the A330neo closer into competition with the A350 by increasing MTOW. They did the right thing. Better to disrupt your own product line than lose the business. The A350 is a frame with a ton of future optimization left and will sell well into the future. I don’t think Airb...

Nothing happens haphazardly like that. And no company the size of United would add colors without considering its competitors. I’m certain there was a deck that outlined other brand systems. We had a similar discussion regarding SNA a couple months back, UA has in the past operated the 737-900ER into SNA from SFO. So obviously the 9MAX would also be possible, most likely SFO. I do recall that when UA operates the 737-900ER into SNA that it was a pretty infrequent substitution and no da...

Or maybe Delta owns 49 percent of VS and are aligning their brands. They have joint branding at key airports. It would make sense that they align. I wouldn't say UA copied, but it is a bit weird.
