at least on these point to point flights , as long as they don't cancel, they would remain desirable, The EAS routes , on the other hand, were somewhat hub based and there were no safeguards against blown connections , rapidly spreading ill will amongst would be travelers

in the summer, try connecting thru EWR, JFK , or even PHL for that matter One thunderstorm and hoards of inbound domestic flights are significantly delayed or cancelled en masse, while the TATL flights all depart on time. DFW, I can rely on for reliable service, operationally .

I wonder how many INVOLUNTARY stopovers WOW creates due to operational deficiencies that I have heard about? Is there ample lodging for all of that at KEF or do they have to schlep clear into town?

if one is savvy they can still do stopover in Iceland on AA. Book "open jaw" (called multi-city on website) DFW-KEF, return, for example LON-DFW and then find some 3rd party cheapo one-way from KEF to UK or the continent .

EA had shown conclusively that MCI can be a great mid-continent hub, particularly for a carrier looking to establish one. No service drawdown threats are imminent and Term A is mothballed . Not sure what fees are going toward maintaining it other than water and heat. The airlines would not be involved in those costs. They only pay rent on space they use plus landing fees and fuel

they really cant drop too far off the GRID like SW does as B6 is quite dependent on interline and codeshare connections that are driven mostly thru mainline channels.

If UA can only fill a CRJ/E145 seasonally on PNS-ORD with TONS of connections, how on earth does F9 expect to fill an A320, even 2-days a week? Same with DEN. Will give better access to MSP travelers to the EK and QR networks as well as a few others(non US3) flying out of BOS. Much of MSP's traffic onto EK's network was attained by backtracking to SEA on AS (or SY)

Why would DL order the 737-7, a 150 seat jet, that doesn't even come close to the CS300 in performance, let alone the 110 seats that DL plans on putting in the CS100? Granted DL is getting their end of line 737-900ER fleet for dirt cheap, I don't see them being able to sell DL on the 7Max at a pric...

they (APG Airlines) are a 3rd party ticketing operation , like Hahn Air. The itinerary should say something to the effect of APG Airlines, Operated by Cobalt, or some such verbage. Was wondering the same thing....if it is in fact MCI, I know that RDU is next on their wish list. He didn't indicate if it would be a new destination or not. Wouldn't MCI-RDU be a resumption for WN, not a new service? IIRC, they flew SJC-MCI-RDU for awhile before DEN opened. AFAIK WN never operated...

I did some pricing and scheduling exercises in Sabre and the EK flight does make good and competitively priced onward connections on Aegean and a few others carriers to various European locations
