I don’t know what happened, and I know that Vueling has certainly been criticised for poor practices in the past.

But I would expect the first officer to be one of the first people off the aircraft in an evacuation. That would be inline with many airlines emergency evacuation procedure.

This happens often in that part of the world. It’s even in the NOTAMs for several places around that region. Even the PFO and LCA NOTAMs across the water in Cyprus have had warnings of “GPS jamming”. It does affect aircraft on a regular basis, but of course airliners are not reliant on GPS.
