PA would look like DL (maybe with different hubs, but same model)

That leaves TW with a merger (maybe US, America West, or others....). But STL would not be the hub.

I'm told by (long time pre merger NW now DL FAs) that MSP - MKE (on a 747), which is about 45 min, had a full bev service in all cabins. Now...you're lucky if in Y+.

DL gives you credit (at least currently) for trips purchased on miles (no dollars, but you get miles). In the case of the DL trip, call or chat (online) with DL. From 1991 - 1995 my folks lived in TKO, so NRT was the airport. AA was Seattle to connect, DL for PDX and LAX. UA was ORD and SFO. yeah....AA bragged on the SEA-NRT route. But I was already a loyal DL. But that said, AA didn't really have a strong Pacific presence.

I would have been flying NRT - PDX when DL flew the route on an MD 11. I think that was 1995. I can't think of a 3 engine since. Last quad - probably an A380 on AF CDG-JNB-CDG or BA LHR-ORD-LHR . I'm not sure which. Both would have been prior to 2010. But I did manage an A340 one time only (CDG-MSP).

They also made Million Miller status better. As a 1M I will go from automatic silver to automatic gold. I appreciate that for international flights (ST Elite Plus status) and raises the priority for upgrade.

That said - even as a PM I don't get upgraded.

There is no chance that this would go anywhere. Skymiles agreement is a one sided deal - DL (or the other airlines as well) can basically do anything they want. I am not wild for the changes, but DL is in the business of making money by flying cargo and pax, not giving away seats and upgrades.

So I noticed today (8/1) that DL ship N650DL (a 752) was scheduled MCI-QRO (Queretaro International Airport, in Mexico).

FWIW, that particular ship seems to have a large number of 88** flights. But my question - what is in QRO? Is this a maintenance base? Any insight?

No way to know....but I do wonder, was alcohol an issue? Given that many drink prior to boarding, then pdb, then opening drink + altitude...you wonder.

I can get being upset with the food. But honestly? Enough to cause diversion? It must have been an epically bad meal.

FWIW RDU and BNA already both have skyclubs. Skyclub members have access to the Centurion lounge in LAS and AUS. The presence of the clubs suggest strong enough FF base, paying customers to support them, which in turn suggests paying attention to where they are flying.

To be fair, DL did have a hub in Dallas (remember DFW the airport would not start construction until 1969). DL does still serve Jackson MS, but out of ATL these days.

This would seem to be a strong premium route. You have not only NYC, BOS, ATL, connections via AMS as well. I suspect that this is an easy money maker for both carriers. If this evolves, I could see flights out of LAX, SFO, and DTW (as pointed out, avoiding UA).
