I agree pulling the CVR CB should be a checklist item once the aircraft is 'safe'. That said, I am all for her request to retrofit all to 25 hours.

video included in the Chronicle article linked in reply #2 shows a Hawker 800 N269AA with seemingly minor damage to the wingtip/winglet while N510HM a Cessna Citation Mustang has a little bit more damage to the back end and vertical stabilizer.

I don't understand why NK/G4 don't roll the dice on some service to GRK. Leisure travelers tend to be more flexible, and living in Pflugerville, I would give that a shot for a leisure trip. For business, I'm flying out of AUS because of the flexibility if there are any issues.

It's an avoidable incident for sure, however if you look at those same edge markings by C, they don't dip into the ramp area as deeply, and it seems more clear (to me-completely untrained) that those are edge markings versus the ones near A that venture "closer" to the actual taxilane mark...

The CRJ-700 has 2 luggage compartments, one in the rear and one under the fuselage for gate check bags. I worked these aircraft and I honestly can't imagine how this happened.

There are exceptions, especially among those that only travel domestically (which I do) but AA has a lion's share of the business travelers...
