Booking sites show one-way car rental from 3-4 major companies in LAX, compact SUV to mid-size, drop off same day or next day in SAN, runs from $55-$75 including one-way drop-off charge. For three people, not a bad deal. And a delayed arrival in LAX or traffic getting to Union Station could make the...

Just thinking of the GVA-BKK route, I tried Thai, Swiss, Lufthansa and Emirates sites and each had information on in-flight duty free, including product details and/or links to their catalog, pre-ordering, phones, etc.
In the late 1960s, Trans-Texas had a "weekend fare" (Saturday-Sunday) for unlimited travel -- $25, if memory serves! Seems like Texas International had a similar "unlimited flights for X days" in the 1970s.
Jump to postWhite-knuckle flying is not uncommon, but your list of fears of what 'could go wrong' is obviously much worse than the average knuckler. I have known two different people with similar over-the-top fears, and both attended counseling and 'fear of flying' seminars. Both now fly with little anxiety. As...

Jump to postAsking 'which is best' of the 7-8 airlines you mentioned, will get you 7-8 different answers...or more. What's important to you: airline, alliance, aircraft type, seat assignment, etc.? Jump to postReally nice report. The cabin and seat look very nice and love the 1+1 configuration for single travelers. Minor suggestion: Does the yellow "edited" bar on a post need to be so large? It's sort of glaring and "in your face".
Great report!! I thought the same thing on the menu pricing at first. The Snacks and Sandwich pages in particular looked like the vertical line was a "1". €30 for a sandwich and Pringles seemed a bit high! That's when I went back and looked more closely!
