Re: United Airlines Fleet Discussion - 2024

How do (or did) the CR9 figure into scope compliance? I understood (perhaps incorrectly) that UA was limited to 70 or 76 seats in it's regional operation. Thanks in advance. The CR9s were backfill while Mesa (and it sounds like Skywest) trained enough pilots to operate the E175s. The CR9s will star...

UA has a feature in it's web site called Travel Ready Center. If the bridges have concession space, that could make the initial capital outlay more feasible. Either way, it was a bit of a planning blunder 30+ years ago not to make the train system more future-proof. 35 or so years ago the trenches that the trains run in were down-sized to reduce cost. The ori...

I find that the AB Skyride works really well. It has always operated perfectly on time for me and is clean and safe. I've parked at the bus stop and it's never been a problem. The best thing RTD could do would be to add frequency as the busses are typically an hour apart.

Correct, but that's a different matter. That’s not applicable to the US. The career trajectory you describe is basically the old regional model, but with the requirement for 1500 hours nobody can go from flying school to a commercial airliner.
