Support Airliners.net - become a First Class Member!

I have an upcoming interview for MBDA missile systems on their graduate scheme and while I can do the research to know about the company I would like to do research about the missile business in general and was wondering if anyone could help with specific sites or journals that I should give a quick look at. Who else id big in the world of missiles and what are the current issues facing this industry. Any snippets of info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Fred

Fighter Tactics Academy website- there are a few missile histories here, including the Sidewinder, Python 4, quite a few other links:

Enjoy...

Sorry, seems a lot of those "other links" are dead now. Still, the Sidewinder & Python histories are active & interesting.

Along these lines, something I've been curious of for a while... what aircraft is equipped to carry the greatest number of air to air missiles?

I've seen pictures on this website of Super Hornets carrying 10 missiles... 8x AMRAAM, 2x Sidewinder.

Quoting Flyf15 (Reply 3):

Super Hornet is probably the most for a Western fighter- most typically carry 8 missiles maximum. The Su-27 can also carry 10 missiles.
