I don't understand how the agreement between FTG and DEN to not offer commercial service is no longer valid.
Any thoughts?

Very seldom are such agreements "forever" - 16 years is a long time in the aviation industry. The agreement was probably focused on not providing competition with KDEN when it opened.

My question is how much traffic for

The best possibility: turboprop flights or regional jets that would shuttle passengers to mountain towns in Colorado or smaller cities in nearby states, maybe as soon as 2010.

does the Denver metro area generate. Because this plan looks like only O&D flights with no connection possibilities. My impressions of regional traffic out of KDEN is that it's is mainly connecting passengers.

Doesn't FTG have some semi-schedulued charters on bizjets?

If Skybus was still operating they could have operated CMH/GSO-FTG (Denver-Front Range)  stirthepot
