Ok wanted to get people's opinions about what's going to happen for the 787 call.

Here's my opinion:

6 month delay. First flight at the end of 2008 and first delivery around Sept 2009.

Boeing will use the next 6 to 7 months to do a lot of static testing on the static test airframe (997). At the same time I think they'll pull out LN 1 to the flight line to start power on and all the ground testing needed prior to first flight. I think they'll pull 997 and LN 1 by the end of May.

998 will be pulled out in early summer and fuselage deliveries will resume to Everett by mid summer. (starting with LN 3...the HTP for LN 3 was delivered into Everett yesterday).

I think the delays will be driven more by the need to get a lot of static data prior to first flight and make any structural changes that are necessary. I think the delay will be driven less by supplier and production issues this time around. This is my guess.
