I don't think this is really an issue. Do a test in your home or your car and you'll be very surprised of all the chemicals released and some of them being toxic. And everybody, including crews spend more time at home or in their cars than in a plane. Our modern life is completely "chemical" and we have to deal with it, although it's not a reason to fix a pb when there's one.
